

阿爾特姆·切爾科夫|Artem Chirkov
Artem Chirkov, a renowned Russian double bassist, is currently Principal Bass of musicAeterna. Based in Vienna, he performs with the Vienna Philharmonic, Vienna State Opera, and ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has won prizes at the ISB, J.M. Sperger, and Bradetich competitions, and, as a member of Bassiona Amorosa, received the ECHO Klassik and Pro Europa Prize.

Artem Chirkov is a prominent Russian double bassist, graduate of the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory and the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. Since 2022, he has been the principal double bassist of the musicAeterna orchestra, where he continues to shape its distinctive sound.
A laureate of prestigious international competitions—including the ISB Competition (USA), J.M. Sperger Competition (Germany), and Bradetich Foundation International Competition (USA, 2010)—he has also received the ECHO Klassik Award and the Pro Europa Prize as a member of the ensemble Bassiona Amorosa.
Since 2022, Chirkov has been based in Vienna, where he collaborates with leading orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna State Opera, the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Tonkünstler Orchestra.
He has performed at major venues and festivals worldwide and is the founder of the international festival The World of Double Bass. Chirkov is also actively engaged in music education and outreach across the globe.
